‘I had written the song lyric in just 20-25 minutes’: Singer Simmba Sing said – I started singing in Punjabi only three months ago.

Singer Simba Sing’s new song ‘Liar’ has been released recently. This song is from his album ‘East West Boy’. Simmba himself has written the lyrics of this song. The song has been composed by his brother Jerry Singh (Jasraj Singh). Simmba had a special conversation with Dainik Bhaskar. Tell us something about ‘Liar’? ‘Liar’ is the third song from my ‘East West Boy’ album. I have written this song only. My brother Jerry has composed this song. This comes from my experience. Actually I sing in English but I started singing in Punjabi 3 months ago. I am exploring the songs of this album. This album is a mixture of sad, romantic and pop. How long did it take to write the song? It took about 20 to 25 minutes to write this song. It is my style that when I sit down to write a song, I get up only after finishing it. In fact, I feel like I should use up all my inspiration at the same time. On the other hand, I also work on music with my brother Jerry, so that also takes our time. It may take a week, it may even take four weeks. What is special in the music of the song? I worked in Los Angeles during my college days. There has always been an influence on me. You must have heard that Harry Stylish is a singer, I used to watch his songs being made, then I used to do internship in the studio. So I know the style of work there, so you can say that the sound of the song ‘Liar’ is a soul and overall it is a pop song. I think mine and Jerry’s idea has always been to design the sound along with the lyrics so that it doesn’t sound different. You are from a musical family, so do you feel pressure regarding your work? I didn’t feel like this from the beginning because my brother Jerry and I have been influenced by US songs, we don’t have to compete with them but we have to do the same thing. The pressure is that we have to work hard. This is what works for us. We spend all our time on how to make the music better. We also listen to the songs of more and more people so that we can learn something from them too. According to you, what kind of changes have taken place in the music industry? Many artists are emerging in the Hindi music industry right now, who are bringing their sound without any fear. Trying to give our best. This is the same as what has been happening in the American industry, I am very glad that people are not afraid. I think change is coming in the music industry and I hope that more changes come and the actual artists come forward. Why was it titled ‘Liar’? I am also a part of this youth and in today’s era everyone has more relationship problems than the previous generation. Meaning, relationship problem is not only between a boy and a girl, but it can also happen between two friends. I think many people are going through toxic relationships in this era. Like you know, someone is cheating, someone is lying, someone is hurting someone, so in this way I think this song will connect with people who have gone through this experience.
